What should I do in case of a dental emergency?

At Taylor Made Smiles, we understand emergencies happen. If you experience a dental emergency, such as a knocked-out tooth or severe pain, contact us immediately at our Wills Point, TX location. Meanwhile, rinse your mouth with warm water and gently apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Our team is ready to provide prompt care and guidance during these critical situations.
Yes, it’s crucial to seek professional help for a chipped tooth. Even minor chips can lead to more significant issues if left untreated. Contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, and we’ll assess the damage. Depending on the severity, we may recommend bonding, veneers, or other restorative treatments to ensure your smile remains healthy and beautiful. Ignoring a chipped tooth could result in more extensive and costly procedures down the line.
Absolutely. Dental emergencies don’t adhere to a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither do we. Taylor Made Smiles is dedicated to providing emergency dental care in Wills Point, TX, on weekends. If you face a sudden dental issue on a Saturday or Sunday, call our emergency line, and our skilled team will schedule an appointment to address your needs promptly.
A child’s toothache can be distressing for both the child and parents. Firstly, rinse the child’s mouth with warm water and gently floss to ensure no debris is causing discomfort. If pain persists, contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, immediately. Avoid placing aspirin on the gums, as this can cause burns. Our compassionate team will assess the situation and provide gentle care to alleviate your child’s toothache.
It’s best not to postpone treatment for a lost filling or crown. Without the protective covering, your tooth becomes vulnerable to decay and further damage. Contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, promptly, and we’ll schedule an appointment to address the issue. In the meantime, you can apply a small amount of dental cement or sugar-free gum to protect the exposed area. Swift action helps prevent complications and preserves your oral health.
Accidental bites to the lip or tongue can be painful and may result in bleeding. Rinse your mouth with warm water and apply a clean cloth or gauze to the affected area to control bleeding. If bleeding persists or the injury is severe, contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, for immediate assistance. We’ll assess the situation and provide the necessary care to ensure proper healing and prevent infection.
Over-the-counter pain relievers can provide temporary relief for dental pain, but they do not address the underlying issue. If you’re experiencing persistent dental pain, contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, for a comprehensive examination. Our experienced team will identify the cause of the pain and recommend appropriate treatment to address the root of the problem, ensuring long-term relief and optimal oral health.
If your braces or orthodontic appliance breaks, contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, right away. Avoid attempting to fix it yourself, as this may cause further damage. In the meantime, you can use orthodontic wax to temporarily alleviate discomfort. Our orthodontic team will assess the situation and schedule an appointment to repair or replace the broken component, ensuring your orthodontic treatment stays on track.
Dental abscesses require professional care, and attempting to manage them at home can lead to complications. If you suspect a dental abscess, characterized by severe pain, swelling, and pus, contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, immediately. In the meantime, rinse your mouth with warm saltwater and take over-the-counter pain relievers as directed. Our skilled team will promptly address the abscess and provide the necessary treatment for a swift recovery.
A loose tooth should be addressed promptly to prevent further damage and potential tooth loss. Contact Taylor Made Smiles in Wills Point, TX, as soon as possible, and we’ll schedule an appointment to assess the cause of the instability. Depending on the situation, we may recommend stabilization, splinting, or other appropriate measures to secure the tooth. Swift action increases the likelihood of saving the tooth and maintaining your overall oral health.
